New York Fashion Week for the 2014 Spring Season is over now! Looks like we can bring our attention back to the Fall! Here are some “in vogue” things to think about for the upcoming season:
Decor Inspired-Fashion
Much of the interior decorating styles are modeled after the Fashion Week for the 2013 Fall Season, believe it or not! Punches of bright colors and color blocking are very popular for the home, as well as your closet this season.
Leather
Leather skirts, leather pants, leather jackets, leather bags, piecing leather pouches, and even leather furniture is incredibly in right now! I suggest adding a piece of leather to your wardrobe for the fall and winter seasons and possibly your living room too! Gives a little edge, don’t ya think?
Picture Grouping
Another hugely popular decorating tip is picture grouping. You can style picture grouping in many different ways, such as mixing picture frames, mirrors, different themes, etc. Some decorators enjoy grouping pieces in all different shapes and sizes, while others enjoy displaying their collage in an organized and parallel manner. Picture grouping is not only a fabulous way to spice up your room, but it also personalizes it! The best part of picture grouping is that you can choose whatever it is you love most, and present it in the most stylish way, such as photos of your children, photos from your wedding day, your most adored paintings, or even your favorite musicians!
Wallpaper
One thing that everyone should know about wallpaper: it is always in and it never goes out of fashion. One thing people do not realize about wallpaper: it is actually cost effective, due to the amount of years it can last you and your beautiful home. Besides the practical aspects of the decorative perks of wallcoverings, nothing really measures up to the allurement that wallpaper has to offer. Not only does it enumerate a sense of character in your room and create a warm and comfortable feel, but it also creates a flavorful energy that flows throughout the room, and sometimes even throughout the entire house. Give your home a thematic melody. That way, as you move from one room to the next, the colors and the styles will help establish the mood you want your home to generate.
Happy Decorating !!
